Saveora
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Saveora is a budget and expense tracker for Android, made by SnailPixel ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
The short version
- No bank login, no account, no server of ours. We never receive your entries, budgets or goals, so we cannot see, sell or share them.
- Everything you log is stored only on your phone, inside the app.
- Backups and CSV files are created only when you ask, and saved only where you choose.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Nothing you log is ever sent with an ad request.
- Saveora Plus is bought through Google Play. We never see your payment details.
Information you create
- Your ledger: entries (amounts, dates, notes, categories), accounts and balances, budgets, repeating entries, savings goals and exchange rates. Kept in the app's private storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read it.
- App settings (theme, app lock, reminder time and so on): kept in the app's private settings on your phone.
Android backup and device-to-device transfer are switched off for Saveora, so none of this is copied to Google Drive or another phone automatically. If you uninstall the app, your data is deleted.
Backups, import and export
Encrypted backup. When you tap Back up, the app writes your ledger into a file at a location you pick with Android's file picker (for example your phone, a USB drive or a cloud folder you use). The file is encrypted (AES-256) with a password you choose. The password is never stored or sent anywhere, and nobody, including us, can recover it.
CSV import and export. The app reads only the file you pick to import, and writes a CSV file only where you choose to save it. Where those files go afterwards is up to you.
App lock and reminders
If you turn on App lock, Android asks for your fingerprint, face or phone PIN. This is handled entirely by Android; the app never receives your biometric data. If you turn on the daily reminder, the app asks once for permission to show notifications and shows a local notification on days you have not logged anything. No server is involved.
Advertising (free version)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the main screens, an occasional full-screen ad when you return to the home screen after saving entries, and an optional ad you can choose to watch to unlock a CSV export. Saveora Plus subscribers see no ads, and the ads library is not started for them.
To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process your device's advertising ID and app set ID, your approximate location (worked out from your IP address; Saveora never asks for your location), information about ad views and taps, and diagnostic information about the SDK's own performance and crashes. Nothing you log in Saveora is ever included in an ad request.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Saveora asks for your consent using Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Ad privacy choices. Outside those regions, ads may be personalised; you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). See Google's privacy policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Purchases (Saveora Plus)
Saveora Plus is a subscription handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment; the app only learns whether your subscription is active, and remembers that on your phone. You can manage or cancel the subscription in the Google Play app.
What we do not do
- We do not connect to your bank and never ask for bank credentials.
- We do not run servers that receive your data, and we do not have user accounts.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own.
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not access your contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone.
- Saveora helps you track your own spending. It does not give financial advice.
Children
Saveora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
All network traffic from the app (ads and Google Play) uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your ledger is stored in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. With App lock on, the app is also hidden from the recent-apps preview.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete any entry in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything.
- For ads, change your consent in Settings > Ad privacy choices, reset your advertising ID in Android settings, or get Saveora Plus to remove ads.
- Because we do not hold your data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. For data held by Google for ads or purchases, see Google's privacy tools.
