Moonora

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Moonora ("the app") is a birth chart, daily horoscope, moon calendar and compatibility app for Android, published by SnailPixel ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Moonora. The short version: your birth details never leave your phone. Charts and readings are calculated on the device, there is no Moonora account and no Moonora server. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google Play handles subscriptions.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter in Moonora is stored only on your device: your name (optional), birth date, birth time and birth place, the same details for any people you add for compatibility, and your settings (theme, house system, reminder time). Planet positions, your chart, daily readings and compatibility scores are calculated on the phone from published astronomical formulas. The list of birth places is built into the app, so searching for a city does not use the internet. We do not have a server and never receive this data.

  • No backup or transfer. Moonora opts out of Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so your birth details are not copied to a Google account backup or to a new phone. On a new phone you simply enter your birthday again.
  • Sharing. If you tap Share on a daily headline, the app opens Android's share sheet with that text. Where it goes is your choice. Birth details are never included.
  • Deleting your data. You can edit your details or remove any person in the app. Uninstalling Moonora, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Notifications

If you turn on the morning headline, Moonora asks for permission to show notifications and schedules one notification a day on your phone, with that day's headline. The headlines are calculated on the device; nothing is sent anywhere. The reminders are re-armed after the phone restarts. Moonora never sends marketing notifications.

Ads (free version)

The free version of Moonora shows ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC): a banner at the bottom of the Moon calendar, and now and then a full-screen ad when you move between sections (never in your first minutes with the app, and never over a reading). If you choose to, you can also watch a short rewarded ad to open one day's full reading. There are no ads inside readings, on your chart or in onboarding.

To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects information from your device, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (from which an approximate location can be derived), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Ads may be personalised based on this information. Nothing you enter in Moonora, and nothing about your chart, is sent with an ad request.

  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Moonora asks for your consent through Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice any time in Settings > Ad privacy choices.
  • You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Google settings.
  • How Google uses this data: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
  • Moonora Plus subscribers see no ads, and the ads SDK is not started for them.

Purchases and reviews

Moonora Plus is a subscription sold through Google Play. Google processes your payment; we never see your card or payment details. The app only learns from Google Play whether your subscription is active. Manage or cancel it in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions. Moonora may once show Google Play's own in-app review prompt; Google handles it and we only see the public review, if you choose to write one.

What we do not do

  • No account, sign-in, email or phone number.
  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs of our own.
  • No location permission, no camera, no microphone, no contacts.
  • We do not sell your data.

Entertainment only

Moonora readings are for reflection and entertainment. They are not predictions of events and not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

Children

Moonora is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and is listed for ages 13 and up.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
