BrainLove

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

BrainLove ("the app") is a brain training app published by SnailPixel ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: BrainLove has no accounts and no servers of ours, and your scores, streaks and test results stay on your device. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device data as described below. Purchases are handled by Google Play. You can change your ad consent at any time in the app.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or health information, and we never receive your game results. The app has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Information stored on your device

  • Your progress. Game scores and difficulty levels, your Brain Score, Brain Age and IQ-style estimate, Reasoning Test results, streaks and achievements are stored in the app's private storage on your device. They are never sent to us.
  • Settings. Theme, haptics, reminder time, whether a subscription is active, and counters that limit how often ads appear. Also stored on the device.
  • Backup. Android may include the app's private data in your own Google account backup if you have Android backup switched on, so your progress can be restored on a new phone. That backup is controlled by you and by Google, not by us.
  • Deleting it. Use Me > Reset progress in the app, or uninstall the app.

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows a banner on the Today and Stats screens, an occasional full-screen ad when you return to a menu after a session, and an optional rewarded ad that you can choose to watch for a bonus Reasoning Test. Ads are never shown during a game, on the paywall or on your results. They are served by the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), a service of Google.

To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app information (such as model, operating system and app version), information about ad interactions (such as impressions and taps), and SDK diagnostics. Depending on your choices, ads may be personalised or non-personalised. See Google's privacy policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. BrainLove Plus subscribers are not shown ads.

Your consent choices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent using Google's consent tool before any ad is requested. You can review or change your choice at any time in the app under Me > Privacy options. If you do not consent, you may still see limited, non-personalised ads. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalisation, in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads.

Legal bases (EEA and UK)

We rely on your consent for personalised advertising and for storing or accessing information on your device for that purpose; on our legitimate interests to show non-personalised ads, limit how often ads appear and prevent fraud, which keeps the free version available; and on the performance of a contract to provide a subscription you buy.

Purchases

BrainLove Plus is sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment under the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment details; the app only checks with Google Play on your device whether your subscription is active. You can cancel at any time in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions.

Notifications

Daily reminders are optional and off by default. If you turn them on, they are scheduled locally on your device; no push server is involved. You can turn them off in the app (Me > Daily reminder) or in your Android settings.

Permissions

  • Internet. To load ads and check purchases. Every game works offline.
  • Notifications. Only if you turn reminders on.
  • Run at startup. To restore your scheduled reminders after the device restarts.

Not medical advice

Brain Age, Brain Score and the IQ-style estimate are fun estimates based on your scores in BrainLove. They are not medical, psychological or clinical tests and are not a diagnosis. BrainLove does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.

Children

BrainLove is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help.

Data retention

Information on your device stays until you reset your progress or uninstall the app. Advertising data is kept by Google according to its own policies. We do not keep any of your data on our side.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because BrainLove keeps your information on your device, you can use most of these rights directly in the app (Reset progress, Privacy options) or in your Android settings. For anything else, contact us below. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate, vdai.lrv.lt).

Notice for US residents

Through the AdMob SDK, the following categories of personal information may be collected for advertising: identifiers (the advertising ID), internet or other electronic network activity (ad interactions) and approximate geolocation. Using this for targeted advertising may count as "sharing" under some state laws, including California's. You can opt out by turning off ads personalisation or deleting your advertising ID in Android settings. We do not sell personal information for money, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

International transfers

Google may process advertising data in countries other than yours, including the United States, using safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Security

Your progress is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps on the device cannot read. Ad and purchase traffic is encrypted in transit.
