Billhub

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Billhub: Invoice & Estimates ("the app") is published by SnailPixel ("we"). It helps freelancers and tradespeople make invoices and estimates, send them as PDFs and keep track of who has paid. The short version: your business data stays on your phone. Billhub has no account, no sign-up and no server of its own, and we never see your clients, your invoices or your income. The only data that leaves your device is what you choose to share, plus what Google's advertising and billing services handle, as described below.

Information you enter in the app

  • Your business details: business name, your name, email, phone, address, website, tax ID and payment details (for example bank or PayPal details).
  • Clients: names, contact person, email, phone, address, tax ID and private notes.
  • Saved items: product, service, material or labour names, descriptions, prices and units.
  • Documents: invoices and estimates, with their line items, amounts, tax, discounts, dates, notes, terms and payment status.
  • Branding (Billhub Plus): a logo image you pick from your photos and a signature you draw in the app.

All of this is stored only in Billhub's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else; we have no server that could receive it.

Device backup is turned off. Billhub opts out of Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so this data is not copied to Google Drive or to a new phone automatically. To keep a copy or move to a new phone, use Settings > Backup, restore and CSV (see below).

You can delete any client, item or document in the app at any time. Uninstalling Billhub, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything it stored on the device.

Sharing PDFs

When you tap Send PDF, Billhub creates the PDF on your device and opens Android's share sheet. You choose where it goes (email, a messaging app, cloud storage, a printer and so on); from then on, the app you picked handles it under its own privacy policy. Billhub never sends documents anywhere by itself. Sharing marks the document as "sent" on your device; that label is not reported anywhere.

Backups and CSV exports

  • Backup creates a single file containing your business details, clients, items, documents, logo, signature and a PDF of every document, saved where you choose. It contains your business and client information, so keep it somewhere safe.
  • Restore reads a backup file you choose and replaces the data on this device with it.
  • CSV export (Billhub Plus) creates a spreadsheet of your documents, saved where you choose.

These files are created only when you ask, and they go only where you save them.

Photos

To add a logo, Billhub uses Android's photo picker, so the app only receives the one image you select. It does not request access to your photo library, camera or files. The chosen image is resized and stored in Billhub's private storage.

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows a banner ad at the bottom of the document list and, occasionally, a full-screen ad when you come back to the list after sending a PDF. Full-screen ads never appear in your first minutes with the app or before you have sent a couple of documents, never in the invoice editor or the PDF preview, and are spaced minutes apart. When you have used your free documents for the month, you can also choose to watch an optional video ad to unlock one more document; it only plays if you tap it. Billhub Plus subscribers see no ads. Ads are provided by Google AdMob.

To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID (and, on newer Android versions, the Privacy Sandbox ad services Google uses for measurement and topics), approximate location derived from your IP address, information about your interactions with ads, and diagnostics and device information such as model, OS version and app version. Your invoices, clients, amounts and business details are never shared with AdMob or used for advertising.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Billhub shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy choices. If you decline, ads may still be shown but they will not be personalised. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your Android settings. See Google's privacy policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Purchases (Billhub Plus)

Billhub Plus is an optional subscription sold through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment and your payment details; Billhub only receives confirmation from Google Play that your subscription is active, so it can unlock Plus features on your device. You can manage or cancel it in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions.

App reviews

Billhub may show Google Play's in-app review prompt once. The review is handled entirely by Google Play, and we receive nothing from it beyond what you publish on Google Play yourself.

What we do not do

  • We do not run a server for Billhub and do not collect your business data.
  • We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs beyond Google AdMob (ads) and Google Play (billing and reviews).
  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not process payments between you and your clients. Billhub creates documents; it does not move money.

Permissions

  • Internet and network state: loading ads (free version) and talking to Google Play Billing. Everything else works offline.
  • Advertising ID and ad services: used by Google AdMob in the free version.
  • Google Play billing: buying and restoring Billhub Plus.

Billhub asks for no camera, location, contacts, microphone or storage permission. Google's ads library also declares a couple of internal permissions (such as wake lock) for its own operation.

Children

Billhub is a business tool for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your country, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Your data lives in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read on a normal (non-rooted) Android device. Backup and CSV files you create are ordinary files, so protect them as you would any business document. Communication with Google's ad and billing services is encrypted in transit.

Your rights

Because your business data stays on your device and we never receive it, you control it fully: you can view, edit, export and delete it in the app at any time. For data handled by Google (ads and billing), see Google's privacy policy and your Google account settings. For any question or request, contact us below.

Changes

If Billhub starts handling information differently, we will update this page and the date above, and note significant changes in the app's release notes.
